Speech-based AI products are increasingly being adopted for interview screens and automated call centers, but do not work effectively for people with with speech impediments, creating barriers to accessing government benefits and economic opportunities facilitated by speech-based AI. AImpower partners with communities to create more inclusive datasets and is working to fine-tune automatic speech recognition models to better serve people with speech impediments.
